You are asking about finding meaning in art; I'm asking how to start making art...! HA! I agree that you "will find answers through the making." Wisdom: "...you don't have to know" and "...joy is in the pursuit of figuring it out." And especially "The need is in the looking, not in the answering." Carry on! Cheering for you. BTW, I think the Legos exercise is genius.
As Rilke suggests, rather than seeking answers, try to love the questions and to live the questions. . .but of course that is what you are already doing, being an artist. ♥️
